Hello Beau, Push the water line into the valve hard and while holding the pressure, push the ring around the line toward the valve. As soon as you do this and hold the ring, pull the waterline out. Now to correct the water leak, cut about 1/4 inch of the water line off and be sure the end of the water line is squared off, (it won't seal if it's cut at an angle). Now push the water line into the valve and when it bottoms, push harder. It should "pop" about another 1/4 to 1/2 inch into the valve. To seat the seal, pull on the line without touching the ring.
