Mike for Model Number WSF26C2EXF01 The ice maker on my Whirpool side by side refrigerator suddenly stopped making ice but the water dispenser is still working. The issue is that the ice machine is not getting water. First thing I did was change the filter. That didn't do anything. When I manually pour water into the ice mold, the ice machine makes and dispenses the ice properly. I checked the tubing that is visible around the back of the unit and which connects to the inlet valve and nothing seems frozen. I even ran a hairdryer for a few minutes around the opening where the water pours into the ice maker just in case there was frozen build up but there was nothing there. Does this sound like there's an issue with the water inlet valve or is there something else I should try before ordering a new valve? Thanks!
Answer Mike, Based on your description and all the work you've done to isolate the issue, the WPW10258562 water inlet valve is the most likely problem.
