Brock for Model Number GSF26C5EXY00 I have a Whirlpool french door refrigerator, and the water coming out of the door has gradually slowed to a trickle over the last few months. I swapped out WPW10238100 (single inlet valve), but that didn't do anything. I have also checked the filter and supply pressure, and both seem fine. Wondering if the dual inlet valve (WPW10258562) could be the culprit, but wanted some feedback before purchasing. The only other recommendation I have heard is the filter housing, but wondering if there is a pump that could be failing? TIA, so sick of it taking 2 min to fill a cup of water haha
Answer Brock, as the water filter has been checked (verified that it is newer than 6 months and not clogged) and the water valve has been replaced, the reservoir tank W11802492 in the refrigerator section would need to be inspected. If the reservoir tank is partially frozen, it can cause the symptoms that are occurring. If the water tank is not frozen, and the tubing in the door is not frozen, the most likely failure would be the filter housing WPW10238123. Read More...
