Chet for Model Number GSF26C4EXY02 Freezer was blowing cold but items were soft, and water dripping through ice door. Water dispenser is full power but no water going to ice side. It is now freezing and bottles of water iced up-ed. Possibly someone did not close the door all the way last night. Now all day and no ice. Unplugged and took off back and measured the resistance on dual water valve, one is 215 ohms and other is 260 ohms. I think valve is ok and yesterday it was making ice fine. Any thoughts to check?
Answer Chet, it would be recommended that the freezer temperature be verified using a thermometer. If it is not below 10°F, the ice maker will not harvest properly. If it is at the proper temperature, the ice level optics may need to be wiped with a q-tip to ensure they are not blocked by moisture that may have occurred from the door being ajar. Read More...
