David, This unit has the water valve in the upper ceiling of the refrigerator compartment and here are the steps for accessing the valve. 1. Unplug refrigerator or disconnect power. 2. Open both refrigerator compartment doors. 3. Remove all items from top shelves and remove shelves. 4. Remove ice box fascia using a flat blade screwdriver. Pull out bottom of fascia to disengage upper tabs. NOTE: If your ice box assembly has a revised ice box fascia with heater, you will need to disconnect the fascia heater wiring harness 5. Locate water filter door, twist water filter counterclockwise to remove. 6. Using a ¼” nut driver remove the two screws from under the water filter door. 7. Starting from the ice box side, place a flat head screw driver between the water reservoir cover and refrigerator compartment liner creating enough room to place your hand between the two. 8. Working from left to right, slide your hand between the water reservoir cover and refrigerator compartment liner to disengage the snaps. 9. Disengage rear left snap. 10. To remove the water reservoir cover, slide it forward and disconnect LED lighting connector. Water Reservoir and Valve aSSembly 11. Remove 3, ¼” hex head screws 12. Disconnect ice maker fill tube from the isolation valve connected to the filter head. 13. Disconnect electrical connections to water reservoir and valve assembly. Disconnect dispensor and ice maker fill tubes. 14. Drop the front of the housing and disengage the 3 rear tabs from the three slots in the top of the refrigerator cabinet. 15. Disconnect ¼” reservoir water tube from dual water valve and cut the 5 nylon wire ties to remove reservoir. NOTE: Reservoir wire ties do not need to be removed to access remaining water reservoir and valve assembly components. 16. Lift dual water valve to remove.
