Patty for Model Number Maytag Dryer DG303 I have a Maytag drayer DG303 would not heat. Replaced gas valve and hilimit thermostat. How long should the flame stay on to heat dryer? Thanks
Answer Patty, The flames will stay on until the cycling thermostat reads that the temperature has been met and opens up. With no clothes in the dryer and properly vented this would be about 1 to 2 minutes after it fires. With a load of wet clothes it could be 20 minutes or more. If the flame is going out rapidly check the venting of the dryer to make sure that there is no clogging. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, May 1, 2013
