Eric for Model Number GW395LEPS03 Had a lightning strike. Whirlpool Accubake appears to be working, i.e., electronic control is working. However, no spark on burners, oven, or broiler. Gas is working. Suspecting spark module. Is there only one spark module? I wouldn't think is was the gas valve itself, but maybe what controls it?? Thoughts? Thanks.
Answer Eric, You're pretty much on target, the DSI Spark Module WPW10331686 is the more likely problem. It's located in the control panel console, and supplies the high DC voltage to all the igniters including the bake and broil. If you have a multi meter the valve is an easy test, the valve has three terminals on top. The center terminal is the common terminal, between the center terminal and either of the outer terminals should have a resistance reading of 215 ohms resistance. If the resistance is in range the gas valve coils are OK and the valve should operate. The WPW10331686 DSI Spark Module is in stock and available at this time. Thanks Read More...
