John for Model Number SF362LX5500 I have a Whirlpool Model SF362LX5500 . My oven or broiler will not light. When you select bake or broil, a low relay click is heard from the control module. When bake or broil is selected I have the 120v ac on pins one and two for bake or pin two and three for broil on p1 of the spark module. Also the resistance on the of each solenoid of the gas distribution valve is not 216 ohms. I assume I have a bad distribution valve. Is this correct.?
Answer Hello John. Is the igniter in the oven sparking when the broil is selected? If not, and there is power to the module, you may have a bad spark module WPW10331686 and the module will need to be replaced. If the unit is sparking, but no gas is releasing, you may have a bad gas valve assembly WPW10293048 and the valve assembly will need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Read More...
