Morris for Model Number KSRA22CNSS00 The water from my fridge has a definite unpleasant odor. I change the filter very 6 months. The fridge has always been in use so no long periods of inactivity. Any ideas what may be causing the odor? I have read that it may be the plastic water tubing, is there a water reservoir tank in this fridge or is all the water contained in the coiled tubing? Thank you
Answer Morris, The water tube coil WP2256126 is the water reservoir(basically). It is a replaceable part, and you may want to consider it. Try this first, remove the water filter for a few days to a week, use the dispenser a few times a day, then see if the odor subsides in time. In some cases, water with a low chlorine content after it is filtered will allow deposits to develop and cause an odor in the water. Allowing the chlorinated water to flow through the dispenser tubing will usually remove the deposits and the odor and taste will subside. Read More...
