Jerry for Model Number Whirlpool GS2SHEXNS00 My ice maker quit a few years ago so I removed it and just went with ice trays. No big deal, until one day I opened up the freezer and found ice all down the inside of the freezer. I pulled out the freezer supply line out and just ran the line down into my basement in case it ever leaked. Well sometime over the past few days it looks like when the water dispenser on the door was used it triggered the icemaker water supply too, because I have a large amount of water in the basement bucket I put there just in case. I had my wife go up and use the water dispenser and found that this is the case. After she was done the water still comes out, not that much but still drips pretty constant. Is this a faulty water valve that needs to be replaced? As mentioned before we only use the water dispenser, no ice is being made anymore. Thank you!
Answer Hello Jerry. Yes it sounds like the valve is bad and will need to be replaced on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, July 31, 2017
