Debbie W. for Model Number KFIS27CXMS2 We have the in door ice maker and water combo. The water dispenses fine, although at one point the water flowed really slow so we replaced the filter and now it is fine. Prior to that time, our ice maker stopped working. There is no water coming into the modeled part. Would the inlet valve need replacing even though we get water coming from the dispenser side? Is there a separate inlet valve for the ice maker and water dispenser?
Answer Debbie, The first thing you will want to do is remove the icemaker and check to make sure that the fill tube is not frozen. If it is frozen then clear the ice and replace the water valve. If it is not frozen then you will need to cycle the icemaker and test to see if there is 120 vac getting to the icemaker solenoid on the valve. If there is not then the icemaker would need to be replaced. If there is then the water valve would need replaced. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, April 12, 2016
