Jayc for Model Number ET8CHMXKQ06 I replaced the water inlet valve and water still does not come thru the inlet valve and up the hose. What am I doing wrong. This is a simple task. Could I have another defective water inlet valve?
Answer Hello Jayc. The water valve will only turn on when the icemaker cycles. Check and make sure the fill tube to the icemaker is not frozen. Also, test for power going to the water valve when the icemaker is in harvest mode. If there is no power there, you will need to replace the icemaker 4317943. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
