Bill for Model Number gb2fhdxwqo5 My ice maker does not always make ice. I checked the water line and there is no blockage. Some water enters the ice maker at times. When water does get to the ice maker it is about 5 ounces. How much water is supposed to enter the ice maker? Thanks for your help.
Answer Hello Bill. There should be enough water to fill the tray. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
