Traci for Model Number Kenmore Coldspot Refrigerator 1069732613 Hello: We have a kenmore coldspot refridgerator with a top freezer and an ice maker, Model No. 106.9732613, Serial No: ED3116145. It appears to be leaking a lot of water from the ice maker and running down the sides into the fridge then filling underneath the crispers and running out and actually flooding unto the floor. Since the problem, we have turned off the water supply to the ice maker. With the amount of water, we thought that maybe the ice maker went into "Fill Mode" and just did not stop. Any suggestions on where to begin trouble shooting, bad water inlet valve? Thanking you in advance. Your company provides a wonderful service. Regards, Traci
Answer Traci, The first thing that you will want to do is to check the drain cup to make sure that it is not clogged up. It may appear that the issue is coming from the icemaker but in the refrigerator compartment at the back wall there is a damper. Next to where the damper is there is a cup that if it gets clogged will cause the same type of issue. If the cup is clear and it is not coming from the drain when it goes into defrost then the issue will be caused by a faulty water valve. The water valve part number is WP2315576. Read More...
