Thomas I have had problems with the ice maker producing ice cubes. I basically replaced the ice maker (believing the thermostat was bad). Still There is no ice production unless I actuallly pour water in the ice cube tray. My concern is that the Water Inlet valve is the problem... its part number is 2182104 which according to your website is now 2315576. This tested 170.0 ohms. Is this reading low?? I have cleaned the mesh filter inside and the water line runs clear water. I did not observe any ice frozen or blocking water into the cube tray.
Answer Hello Thomas. Yes, if the icemaker is new, and the fill tube is not frozen, then you will need to replace the water valve WP2315576. Make sure the water is turned on the unit. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, March 5, 2012
