Sue C. for Model Number Gt22dmxgw00 I am not sure if my first question went thru, so here it is again. We have installed 2 ice makers and 2 inlets valves. The first i maker was defective? Then we put in an ice maker and an inlet valve. The water just runs thru even when the refrigerator is unplugged. I am going to recieve a third inlet valve, but really don't think that is the problem. I'm running out of options.
Answer Hello Sue, If the water valve isn't closing, it sounds like a water pressure problem. There must be enough water pressure to close the valve. Remove the water line from the water valve and place it in a bucket or plastic trash can. Turn on the water and see of the water pressure is sufficient. It should spray out like under pressure. If there is only a trickle to the valve, this is where your problem lies. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, June 10, 2013
