Jeff S. for Model Number Kitchenaid KTRC22E-BL Part Number: AP6022336 This valve provides water supply to my refrigerator's ice maker and water dispenser. A single plastic tube enters the bottom of the valve. Water gushes out of the tube insertion point when water is called for by the ice maker or water dispenser. I viewed videos here and attempted to rectify the problem by releasing the tube from the valve, cleaning it up and squaring the end. Following the video instructions I reinserted the tube and tugged slightly. Water still gushes out. Before ordering a replacement valve I'd like to know whether I might have a tube problem, or whether valves like this occasionally fail at the tube insertion area and need to be replaced. Your advice would be appreciated.
Answer Jeff, When inserting the tube into the valve you will want to push a little harder just to ensure that the tube is inserted completely. If this does not correct then this would more likely be a valve issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, October 6, 2016
