Eric for Model Number GI6FDRXXB02 I am trying to remove the icemaker from the model number provided. I have removed the plastic side piece that retains the icemaker in place. I can slide the icemaker out approximately 1 inch then it is stuck. I have tried jiggling and using a lot of hand strength but it won’t budge. Is there a trick that I’m missing. Something like a tab?
Answer Eric, there will be a cover on the left-hand side that would need to be removed to expose the wire harness connections of the ice maker and auger assembly. Once removed, the wire connections would be disconnected and then there should be a little tab just under the icemaker on the left side that would need to be pulled away from the wall so that the ice maker and auger assembly can be pulled forward.
