Roy D for Model Number EC5100XFW0 When ice machine fills with water you see extra water backing into bottom of bin and finally running down back inside of bin. Think it's bad water valve. If so how do I get to this valve. Thank you.
Answer Roy, The way that this unit is designed, when the cycle starts, water will run into the reservoir for a certain length of time. Once the reservoir reaches the full level the excess water will run through a hole in the back of the reservoir and drain through the drain hole in the back of the bin. Regardless if the bin has water in it or not the unit will fill and is basically flushing the water reservoir to put clean water into it and will drain off all excess that is going into the reservoir to the drain.
