Graham G. for Model Number maytag lat8404aae The water going to the machine wont shut off and overflows even if I unplug it. Will a new water valve correct this problem or do I need something else replaced?
Answer Hello Graham, yes you are correct. The best way to test for a defective water valve is to turn it on, allow water to flow in and disconnect it from the power source.
