Charles I have a MAH4000AWW Neptune washer that will operate fine other han being able to let cold water in. On warm cycles it only dispeses hot water and when it gets to the 1st rinse it stalls out on the 8 minute limit for filling. If I fill it manually by applying power to the cold water solenoid it fills fine, the pressure switch recognizes when low fill limit is reached and the recycles pump comes on and the rinse cycle completes as well as the final 2 or 3 rinse cycles and spins. There are no visible problems with the control board. Can you help me diagnose further?
Answer Charles, If the fill valve operates in a test mode that you used, then the problem is in the control board WP22002989 or the water temp. switch 22002268 or wiring. When you select a cold or warm water temp there should be 120 VAC out of the control board on connector P7 pin 2 blue wire. When you select warm / cold or cold/cold settings at the temp switch, there should be an "open" circuit from red wire to the pink wire and an "open" circuit red to purple. These are "inputs" to the control board to control the water temperature. The first thing to try, remove the connectors from the control board, check the pins on the board and the terminals inside the connector and make sure nothing is loose or corroded. Read More...
