Diy Attorney for Model Number MAH4000AWQ About a year ago, my Maytag Neptuen clothes washer experienced a high-speed spin deficit, which I resolved (given that the R11 resistor on the control board was not burned) with a wax motor. Now, my washer repetitiously stops throughout its cycle and never accomplishes its end-of-cycle high-speed spin. The R11 remains unburned and I have no perceivable deficit of water flow--the washer's water service is softened. Having read a number of other queries and responses, I'm torn between ordering and replacing the water valve (22002795) or the control board (22002989) or, is there some other potential defect of which I'm ignorant.
Answer Hello DIY Attorney, It is a possibility that the wax motor has failed again. If the water flow to unit is good and the unit is filling properly and draining properly then the water valve would be good. If the wax motor is going bad then you would want to replace the wax motor and control board as the control board would cause failure of the wax motor. If you are not getting enough water to the unit, even though it is softned, you will want to check to make sure that the screens are not clogged. If not then you may need a new valve. Read More...
