Kj for Model Number Amana BX21TE I have an Amana BX21TE that has stopped making ice. If I manually pour water into the icemaker, it freezes and is ejected properly, so the problem is that it is not getting water. I confirmed that the solenoid on the water valve works by plugging it into 120V. I also confirmed that there are no clogs in the water line. So the problem is that the signal is not getting from the icemaker to the valve to turn on the water. Is there any way to fix this without replacing the entire ice maker?
Answer KJ, You will want to pull the icemaker module off the icemaker and check to make sure that there are not burn marks on it. You could also start the icemaker in a cycle and check from V to N once it gets to the 11 oclock position to see if you are getting 120vac. If not then replace the motor module W10190935.
