Linda for Model Number MBH 7600 Maytag 7600 dishwasher. The wash arm seems to have plenty of water and no blocking by debris. However, it wobbles and therefore gets stuck (by water feed tube on bottom) and stops turning. The screw is part of the arm assembly......should I buy a new arm?
Answer Linda, The first check needs to be at the water manifold WP99002642 make sure the manifold is still attached to the tub brackets and the outlet at the top of the pump W10296525. Then remove the lower spray arm, and check the bottom side center for excess wear and damage to the openings. The last check is to the motor, remove the lower access panel, and make sure there is at least 1/4 inch clearance between the bottom of the motor and the floor, if the dishwasher is setting on the motor, this can also throw everything out of alignment.
