Bjorn for Model Number Kenmore washer model #11022702100 The washing machine agitates, but does not move on to the next cycle to spin and let out the water. It seems I should try to replace the switch. What's the difference between the switch and the actuator and how do I test to ensure I'm replacing the correct part? Thanks. Bjorn
Answer Hello Bjorn. The lid switch WP3949238 is the switch for the unit, and the actuator is the part the presses the switch. With the lid closed the switch should read closed for continuity across the two outside wires. If it is bad, it will need to be replaced. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
