Phil for Model Number 11020842990 Does this switch install with the 2 phillipcrews into this unit? Doesn't look like anywhere to screw the switch to the washer lid. I have a broken piece under the lid.
Answer Hello Phil. Yes, the lid switch WP3949238 installs under the top panel on the right side of the opening. Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the two screws in the back corners of the control panel securing the control panel. Pull the control panel forward and flip it backwards. Next unplug the lid switch and remove the two brass colored clips securing the cabinet to the back wall using a flat blade screwdriver to pry them out. Pull on the front of the cabinet and slide the cabinet off the frame of the washer. You can now access and replace the lid switch. Reinstall in reverse order. Hope this helps. Read More...
