Andy, the tube assembly is a total length of approximately 55 inches, and is usually longer than you need. I would have to think your tubing is "Bunching up" inside the door, if you're a foot short. Normally you'd attach a strong string or wire to the end of the tube , at the bottom of the door and extract the tube from the dispenser housing. Attach the string to the new tube, tape the end of the tube, so the edge doesn't catch on the door interior and insert it through the housing and use the string to "snake" the tube through the door/insulation assembly, and out th opening in the bottom of the door. You may be able to use a semi rigid cable or a string and vaccuum cleaner to snake another string through the door and try again.
