Joe R. for Model Number MAH9700AWW What does the 3-way water inlet valve do? My washer will start the wash cycle, the water will run, and the machine will begin the wash cycle. About 5 minutes into the cycle the machine will display an OE error. I have replaced the water level sensor, but still get the error. Before replacing the water level sensor, the error would display immediately. With the new sensor, the wash cycle runs a little longer before displaying the error code.
Answer Hello Joe. The three way water valve WP34001248 sends water to different sections of the dispenser. If one of the solenoids are bad on the valve, and it is calling for water and does not work, you will get the error code. Test for power to one of the solenoids and see if there is power and no water coming into the machine. If so, replace the valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
