Manufacturer Part Number: WP34001248

This 3-way water inlet valve regulates and routes incoming water into the appliance. Replacing a sticking or leaking valve restores proper fill and correct water delivery to the intended circuits, helping prevent leaks and fill issues.

  • Opens and closes three solenoid-controlled ports to regulate water flow when the control calls for it
  • Directs water to the correct internal path as designed
  • Helps maintain proper fill levels and timing
  • Common symptoms of a failed valve include no fill, slow fill, water leaking from the valve, or water entering the unit when it's off
What's included: One 3-way water inlet valve assembly
  • Disconnect power and turn off the water supply before servicing
  • Keep towels/bucket handy; relieve line pressure and label hoses and wire connectors for correct reassembly
  • Inspect/clean inlet screens and flush supply lines before reconnecting
  • After installation, restore water and power, then run a test cycle and check all connections for leaks

Answer

Hello Joe. The three way water valve WP34001248 sends water to different sections of the dispenser. If one of the solenoids are bad on the valve, and it is calling for water and does not work, you will get the error code. Test for power to one of the solenoids and see if there is power and no water coming into the machine. If so, replace the valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
