Tonya for Model Number TEDX640PQ0 I have an Estate dryer and it won't get hot. I've replaced the heating element, the thermostat, and the dryer thermal fuse, it still doesn't get hot. So I unhooked the heater element and it continuously runs without any heat and to stop it I have to open the door. Do you have any idea what I need for it to get hot?
Answer Hi Tonya. The 2- issues you have all lead back to a timer issue. If it will not shut off regularily = bad timer. Also the heat circuit comes from the timer sent to the motor. As the motor reaches speed internally a centrifical switch closes and sends the "other " 120 vac to the heater. The timer is part # WP8299781. All fuses need to read closed. Have you replaced the thermal cut off kit , part # is 279816? Thank you. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, October 7, 2011
