Bryan Norman for Model Number LEC8858EQ0 I just replaced my heating element, but still not receiving any heat. I know the outlet is providing enough power as I had another dryer plugged into it and it was working fine. Is it possible the thermostat is bad as well? The heating element that I pulled out was half black, so I figured that was surely the problem. Also is it possible to plug the terminals incorrectly? If so, how do I determine which quick connect goes on which terminal? Please let me know if there is something else I need to try. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
Answer Hello Bryan, it is likely you have a blown thermal fuse WP3392519 or hi limit thermostat 279816. Normally clogged or ristricted venting can cause this so, it's important that you check all your venting and clean as necessary. Here's a link to help you determine if anything further could be wrong. Hope this helps! http://www.appliancepartspros.com/repair-help/dryer-repair-help.html#electric Read More...
