Replace a cracked or broken motor mounting bracket causing excessive vibration or motor misalignment. Simple hand tool installation in 15-20 minutes.
Usually ships within 4 - 14 days
This fan motor mounting bushing is used in refrigerator fan motor assemblies to prevent vibrations between the fan motor and the surrounding components. Over time, the rubber on the bushing may become cracked or broken and fall off. Loud noises coming from the refrigerator's freezer section where it is mounted are a good indicator that the bushing needs to be replaced. To start, disconnect the refrigerator's power and empty the refrigerator and freezer's contents into an ice chest to keep them cold until the motor mount bushing is replaced. Open the freezer door and remove the plastic access panel on the back wall; the fan blade and motor are located behind it. Gently pull the fan blade off the center post. Remove the screws holding the motor in place and remove the motor. Take the old bushing off and install the new bushing. Replace the panel. Put the food contents back inside the freezer and refrigerator and restore the power. This motor mounting bushing is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is sold individually. It is designed for use in refrigerators manufactured by Frigidaire, Kenmore, Gibson, and Kelvinator.
