The Rack Assembly is an OEM replacement part for LG dishwashers. It is the lower dish rack used to store and hold dishes during all wash cycles.

Causes of a faulty rack assembly can be damage such as cracks or broken wires, especially after extended use or improper loading that puts excess strain on the components.

Symptoms of a bad rack assembly include:

• Difficulty positioning racks securely due to failure points
• Rattling or loose racks during operation
• Inability to hold heavier dish loads securely

This OEM LG replacement part is also compatible with some Sears/Kenmore models.

This lower dishrack is the dishwasher's main bottom rack that holds plates, bowls and cookware securely during cycles and restores proper loading after damage or wear. It replaces a cracked, sagging or rusted lower rack to help dishes sit upright for effective cleaning. What it does:

• Provides stable support for plates, bowls and larger items in the dishwasher lower compartment
• Keeps dishes properly spaced so water and detergent can reach surfaces
• Replaces cracked, bent or rusted lower racks that cause dishes to tip or sit unevenly
• Restores rack travel if original rollers or guides are damaged
• Helps prevent items from blocking spray arms when the rack is correctly positioned

• Remove the old lower rack by pulling it forward and lifting off track; slide the new rack into the lower rails until it seats
• Inspect and replace any worn rollers or end caps for smooth operation
• Check that the rack sits level and does not obstruct spray arm rotation before running a cycle
• For safety, turn off power and water to the appliance if you need to service components beyond the rack
