How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP2802376 / 00167085 Circulation Pump Repair Kit

Took the circulation pump out. That was complicated and only possible because I downloaded the instructions from the Bosch website. Then it was just a matter of following the directions. 

Needed to verify that the probable cause of the noise was the actual failure, so followed the disassembly phase of your outstanding video on how to replace the impeller. Confirmed that, yes, the impeller was indeed worn out and had separated. Ordered replacement parts from your website, made easier by all the pictures provided. All of the parts arrived in three days as promised. Completed the repair by following the video step-by-step. Could not have completed this project without your excellent catalog of parts and videos. Thanks for helping me save nearly $1000 in replacement costs. 

Replaced the pump housing and impeller. The accompanying video made it easy. No trouble at all. 

Using a combination of videos from youtube and appliancepartspros.com, I narrowed down the issue to the circulation pump. The motor was fine but the impeller piece had broken off. After replacing the rear pump housing and installing the circulation pump repair kit everything is running fine. The job seemed very overwhelming at first but using the videos helped get me through... 

We love our old Bosch dishwasher. It’s been solid and reliable form many years. When it suddenly died, I struggled with the possibility it was heading to the landfill. Fortunately appliance parts pros and YouTube had everything required to bring it back to like new condition. All the videos pointed to a circulation pump impeller failure. The circulation pump in a Bosch is extremely difficult to access, but the videos were extremely clear and concise. I took the dishwasher out into the garage and made temporary provisions for power, water and a drain bucket. A raised platform made access easy. Following the video, it took a good hour or so to open up the pump. It was so satisfying to see the impeller had failed and I had the exact replacement kit. Installing the impeller kits and reassembly was fairly easy. I partially assembled and then tested the dishwasher to check for correct operation and test for leaks. It’s wonderful to have the dishwasher working perfectly again. We avoided contributing to the landfill and saved a bunch of cash. Happy Happy! 

I was able to temporarily glue the halves of the impeller together. That lasted one year but with reduced washing performance. The pump housing was very brittle and was deteriorated also. The new parts arrived very quickly and fit perfectly. My wife and I are happy to not be washing dishes by hand. 

Rebuild, broken circulator pump impeller. 

Recirculation pump impeller split into 2 pieces. Bought a recirculation pump repair kit. Not an easy repair but made much easier with the video. My model was a bit different than the video but not much. The pump outlet was not a “breeze clamp” (I. E. A worm clamp) but was a crimp type clamp. I replaced it with a “breeze clamp. Cleaning all the calcium deposits from all the parts and seals was a pain. Get some CLR to help with that. Now it works great and no leaks. Appliance Parts Pros are the best! 

I bought a used Bosch dishwasher at Goodwill for $12 and as the one we had was literally falling apart, I thought it was worth a try to see if I could get it to work. I read through all of the stories of low/no water pressure, loud operation and it was relatively easy to determine the problem. I pulled the pump and sure enough, the impeller was in two pieces as many of the stories had described. I ordered the part, watched the video on how to install it, and voila we have a beautifully working Bosch dishwasher for about $160. Installed the repair kit using the video for guidance. Thanks for the excellent video it made everything very easy. CAUTION Be very careful around the bottom edge of the basin where it goes into the seal. The one on my BOSCH is RAZOR SHARP. It was sharp enough that it cut right through the mechanics gloves I was wearing. This would cut you very badly if you aren’t careful.
