How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP3783114 / 00438026 Door Latch

I followed Simon’s video and changed the locking device. Took me 5 minutes. 

Removed the old part. Then searched for the part on AppliancePartsPros.com's site. Ordered It and it arrived in two days. Wish I had gone to the site before I removed the broken latch as the clear, complete video on the APP site showing how to access and remove the old latch would have saved me time and aggravation. 

Replaced it with new one. 

Replaced the door latch; this repair went exactly as the video showed. I had to purchase the Torx 20 screwdriver (I even used the video while I was in the hardware store because I didn't think there would be so many sizes available). Perfect -- thank you! 

I watched your video, and ordered the part. When the part arrived ( on a vary timely manner) I watched the video again and replaced it. Took me 20 minutes. 

You're repair video was spot on. The squared holes in the top of the door that the switch keys into seemed about 2 or 3 thousands too narrow. I think this was the problem with the original. After fitting, the new switch/latch is notably smoother. 

Replaced door latch 

The latch started working again, so I'm keeping the new latch as a spare part ready to install the next time the latch doesn't work. 

Remove face plate of dishwasher. Remove old latch. Secured new one. Placed face plate back. 

Used the video you referenced and a #20 torque driver. Probably took pokey me about 20 minutes.
