How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP2802384 / 00165262 Check Valve

I took Bosch dishwasher home and did research on the noise and the check valve sounded like the problem. I order the check valve and installed it. Easy to do. Now I wanted to see if it fixed the problem before I take out my perfectly good dishwasher and install the Bosch. I found a dishwasher connector at Home Depot that made it easy to connect the Bosch to a garden house. Wired the Bosch to power and turned the dishwasher on. No noise and the dishwasher works. Not bad for just $12. 

My Bosch dishwasher wouldn't empty so I go on this site and not only did they tell me what part I needed but also showed a video on how to change it. It was the check valve. I ordered it, and from Kentucky to New York I received it the next day. Ten minutes to change. I thought $10.95 for shipping was a bit much, but with the service I received, I now think it was well worth it. 

Replaced check valve with ease. Special Torx screwdriver is necessary for removing the screw to get to the check valve not mentioned in youtube but otherwise a simple solution. Thanks so much for the directions 

Went on AppliancePartsPros.com and followed their suggestion and ordered the part installed according to instructions and bingo dishwasher was back in operation. 

Replaced check valve. AppliancePartsPros.com had a video on how to replace check valve. Worked fast and saved over $100. 

I replaced the check valve and found a better attachment point to the sink drain. I purchased a new drain hose just in case things went badly, but did not need it. I appreciate the super fast shipping and easy return system at Appliance Parts Pros. 

Removed and inspect the drain path flapper and removed any debris from the around the impeller. It spun freely. Remove the washer door cover and kick plate as video instructed. Inspected the drain discharge tubing. It was clear. Ordered new drain pump and flapper and replaced per the video. Ran a test rinse cycle and the pump came on when expected and has been working for a week or more with no issues. 

I replaced the check valve. It took longer to scoop the water out of the bottom of the dishwasher than it did to change the check valve. I used a torx T-20 diver ( I picked it up at a big box store the night before) and one small screwdriver to lift the old check valve out. In fifteen minutes I was washing dishes again. 

Replaced the valve that connects to the supply water line and also replaced the rubber check valve for the drain. The valve was perfect although you need redline tape to replace the 90 degree brass fitting. You also need a torx screw driver. The back flow rubber piece was not the same size but appears to work. 

Thank you AppliancePartsPros.com! The video and the $10 part (a new drain flapper) and voila! We do not need to replace our dishwasher ... it's fixed! I followed the steps exactly as described. None were difficult. The only tools were screwdrivers. I did not have to disconnect or pull out the dishwasher.
