How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP6026659 / 12012913 Door Handle

Solenoid was likely bad and decided to replace the whole unit. Great video on how to replace the soap dispenser with step by step directions. Would have taken less than 10 minutes but decided to also replace a plastic handle, which also had a video. Probably saved $250. Replacement parts arrived in 2 days. Excellent experience, would highly recommend.

Followed the video and it was a pretty straight up repair. The only problem I had was putting the door back on the hinges. 

The repair was easy and I was able to follow the step-by-step instructional video. The whole process took less than a half hour, which includes opening the replacement handle packaging, getting my tools, performing the repair, and putting everything away once I finished.

Replaced the broken handle with a new handle. The video was super helpful. 

Followed the instructions in the video. The tip from another DIY on this page about cutting the old handle in half was a good tip - you do not have to worry about the metal tabs on the cover being bent. The side screws have different lengths- keep track of which ones go where. Also- the AppliancePartsPros.com site answered a question I had in < 10 minutes. Great service!
