How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP8064375 / 12054183 Sealing (Gasket), 1-Pack

We were having water pour from the bottom of the Bosch dishwasher door during use. My husband noticed a small crack in the door seal, so I ordered a new one. I also cleaned the dishwasher filter. It was clogged with hard water minerals and lime, because we have very hard water. I soaked it in some vinegar and used a old toothbrush to clean it well, since we were out of CLR cleaner. The Door seal itself only took minutes to change. I watched the video on Appliance Parts pros and did exactly as directed. Easiest repair ever, I did a quick load test run, and thankfully, no more leaking. 

Replaced door rubber seal! 

This fixed a small leak causing a puddle after running the dishwasher. Easy repair in less than 10 minutes. No tools are needed. 

Our Bosch dishwasher is about 12 years old and this is the first issue we have had. Took the old seal off and put the new one on and it took a couple of minutes but it still leaked. I then took the new seal off and scrubbed the bottom inside with Barkeeps Friend to remove the hard water deposits, reinstalled and no longer have a leak. Who knows maybe I could have just cleaned it and used the original seal which seemed to be in decent shape but needed a good cleaning. Easier to replace. 

Replaced the door gasket. When I got the new gasket, I realized that the old one had been overlapping too far and allowed leaks to occur. So far so good with a new gasket, which was easy to install and exactly the right size! 

Top seal was simple. bottom seal required a little thinking. I followed instructional online videos and was able to get the bottom seal installed.. I didn’t have to disconnect the power wires on mine. I just had to kill the breaker at the box. All good now no leaks..I did have to replace the flexible water hose because they normally leak if you take them off after they’ve been on there for several years. I expect this unit to last many years. A hundred dollar fix sure beats a thousand dollars for a new one. I went with overnight shipping which added a few bucks but its worth it to me to keep the unit operational. Parts arrived next day. 

Replaced seal that is about 6 feet long that attaches to dishwasher body. So far so good. 

Replaced the door gasket. Piece of cake. Took about 15-20 minutes to pull out old damaged gasket, which pulled out effortlessly, and cleaning the channel for the new gasket. A bit tricky figuring out exactly how the gasket should fit into the channel, but then it easily pressed into place. No tools needed! Ran the dishwasher on empty to check, no leaks! Yay! 

Ordered the Fascia and gasket from Appliance Parts Pros, arrived in a couple of days. Watched a couple You Tube videos and Voila! 

The door seal had a few nicks in it, so I ordered a new one. It is a very easy fix as long as you get the seal in with the lip facing out.
