How to Troubleshoot & Replace Bosch AP8064375 / 12054183 Sealing (Gasket), 1-Pack

Replaced rubber seal. 

I discovered the door seal and door gasket were basically liquefying. I followed the videos and the repair was very manageable. I decided to replace the soap door assembly while everything was disassembled. Our 16 yr old dishwasher is now going strong. 

Replaced components. 

Replaced door gasket and lower door seal. Used the Appliance parts pros videos to determine what parts I needed and how to do the repair. Ended up taking about an hour from turning off the power to turning it back on to make sure I didn't have any leaks. 

Installed door seal but that does not appear to entirely solve the problem. There is still a very small amount of water that leaks from the front of the dishwasher. I may have to replace the lower door seal which is a much more complex repair. 

Pulled off old seal and inserted new one. Took less than a minute. 

Replaced the door gasket seal and it saved my wood floors. FIXED! NO TOOLS NEEDED! The fast shipping was a life saver too! Thank you! 

We ordered a new door gasket. 

Replaced the refrigerator light switch The refrigerator door light was a bit challenging. There is a plastic panel at the top front of the refrigerator that holds control knobs for refrigerator and freezer temp controls, along with the light switch. The freezer control knob had a mechanical linkage (this is a side by side refrigerator-freezer) that connected the temp setting dial with the actual control device in the back of the freezer. I could not get the linkage disconnected, so had to work in a closely restricted area. Broke the old light switch to get it out, then was able to install the new switch without damage. The new switch worked fine, all is good.
