How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP8053015 / 242009604 Water Filter Base (Housing)

Watched your video and bought the part.. 

Ordered water filter base and replaced it. Like someone else commented, I fixed the old part after removing it. It had slipped off its tabs and springs weren’t working. I just reassembled it and saved it just in case 

I just put in the new one and inserted the filter. Everything worked as it should! 

After removing the outer shell, I removed the water lines and the frame that the water filter base mounts in. I then installed the new base in the frame and reinstalled it back in the refrigerator. Easy repair! 

Ordered a Base-Water filter replacement. It worked flawlessly. 

The puresource ultra waterfilter on my Frigidaire Gallery refrigerator wouldn't lock into place, when I tried to replace it. Found a YouTube video that suggested I replace the filter base. It was not difficult with the help of the video, and this fixed the problem. 

Ordered a new water filter and the water filter base. There was an obvious leak when the water dispenser was activated, but I wasn't 100% sure if it was the filter or the base. I therefore had both parts just in case. It turned out it was just the filter. No tools were needed, but if I had to replace the base, a phillips #2 would be needed.
