How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6284756 / 5303918824 Refrigerator Door Handle Kit

For the third time I have replaced the refrigerator handle on my Frigidaire gallery refrigerator. Ordering and replacing the handle is easy. Never had to replace the freezer handle. Only 4 year old refrigerator. This is ridiculous. 

These replacement parts are an upgrade from the OEM. Original handles were plastic and these were steel. Great replacements! They came with an Allen wrench and screws with matching black heads. 

Fix was easy Install new handle which was made of metal not plastic. 

Replaced with a new replacement. The new replacement is all metal and not plastic which is what it should have been, to begin with. 

We replaced the original plastic handles with the new black metal handles ordered from Appliance PartsPros.com. who provided knowledgeable information at the time of order, fast delivery, and a quality product. It took a few minutes to install the new handles. Very pleased, Will keep AppliancePartsPros.com's info on file for future assistance. 

Received the new door handle(s). I had an issue removing the original screws from the top of the door, as they were torqued in pretty tightly (which I began to realize was probably why the door handle broke in the first place). I finally got the screws out and the rest was smooth sailing. The original screws went back in easily (not so tightly this time) and the set screw was easily tightened with the appropriate allen wrench. These door handles are the perfect match the refrigerator. I'm very happy! 

Removed and replaced. Original handle is plastic. The replacement is metal. 

This is the 3rd time I have had to replace the handle ! Poor design ! This should not keep happening ! 

I replaced the handle. I actually replaced it twice since I didn't realize the 2 provided handles were different and I put the upper handle in the lower handle's spot. 

Used pliers to remove screws, cleaned area and placed new handle. I was told I couldn't fix it myself. I found this site, looked for parts needed, purchased them and put it together.
