How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4695205 / 5303918498 Board-Switch

Frig would kick on and off until the code sy ce would show on the door. If I would hear it happening I would open the freezer door for about 30 sec. and close slowly and it would be fine. But if we miss it it would shut down. I ordered switch board and electrical control board.Electrical control board was easy putty knife was only tool needed took about 10 min.. The switch board only tool needed was a 1/4 inch wrench or socket.when you remove the tray under the frig. it is a tight fit but you do not have to jack up or tilt the frig to get it out. You unplug the cables and and the new switch board has new wires to adapt the new board. The only problem with the replacement is getting all the new wires back in the switch board tray this took me about 20-30 min. works great when I first plugged it in it took about 20 sec. to start a little scary but all is well. 

I ordered 2 circuit boards, Main board (under fridge) and door circuit board. Either one could have been the reason for the communications error. Didn't want to take a chance and order the wrong one and wait a week for a different board. The problem was the main board. I will keep the door board as a spare. The replacement board was not identical to the original so there were adapter cables that had to be installed. A little tight fitting into the original box but it worked. 

The technician first replaced a switch at the compressor, then said compressor was bad & replaced that, all to the tune of $308. I argues with them about the control board & told them where it was. Their response was "There is no board down there". After he finally looked down there & finding the board, suggested I order it!! I ordered both lower & upper boards as you suggested. When they came in, I installed both of them myself & now refrigerator is working fine. I will also add:__I am an 84 year old woman. I will also add, the first board that was sent didn't have both of the wiring harnesses, so you sent another one that did. I will now return the original board that was sent. And will also order from you on any other occasion that I may need, as this was the 2nd time I have ordered from you. 

I replaced the main control board (under the fridge) and the panel control board (the touch control on the front door). Previously, a repairman came and only replaced the main control board, which didn't solve the problem. After looking at the comments for the appropriate parts on this website, I learned that you need to replace BOTH parts. I did so, and it worked perfectly. In fact, I had purchased a new fridge, but it was a fraction of an inch too wide, so I ordered these parts overnight before I went and found a different fridge. So as far as I'm concerned Appliance Parts Pros saved me $1000. 

Replaced the switch board and dispenser(display) control board. 

Replaced the Board-Switch. 

Replaced AP4695205 Main Board and the AP5324736 Dispenser control board as recommended in the Appliance Parts Pros website. Delivery of the replacement boards was extremely fast and valuable repair procedures were obtained in your "how to" videos. The most trouble encountered was in reinstalling the Main Board in the tight area at the bottom of the refrigerator/freezer. The additional room required by the needed jumpers made the install difficult, but I was finally able to make it happen. . 

I replaced the board switch and board control circuits. The board switch circuit was slightly different than the original but with the wiring harness provided I was able to get it functioning with no issues. 

I looked up the problem and took the advice from the reviews about ordering both boards to fix my frig and it went perfect. the parts arrived very timely and where an exact fit and match for what was needed. the repair instructions did a pretty good job of explaining the installation along with the parts arriving in an extremely timely manner . I would definitely work with applinacepartspro again. 

Refrigerator is a Frigidaire Gallery Side by Side Model LGHS2665KF1. We got about 8 inches of water in the house during the flood and would not run. I knew the control board was underneath the front of the fridge as I had change it about a year ago. (At that time also had to change the user interface board on the front of the door). Anyway, since I knew the control board was wet, I decided to give it a try and order a new one. When it came in, I installed the new one in a few minutes, plugged in the fridge and everything worked. Started cooling and then stopped cooling. That's when I noticed the condenser fan was not running. Ordered a new fan motor. Installed it today and fridge is working perfectly!!!!
