How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4508531 / 5304475578 Console Assembly

We replaced the motherboard, console assembly, and pc button assembly on our frigidaire dishwasher. We've had the dishwasher for six and a half years, and for the last year we were only able to use the delay start in order for it to wash dishes on power plus. It finally read PF and nothing worked on it. So after replacing everything mentioned above, it works like it's a brand new dishwasher and we saved a lot of money by going through here vs buying a new dishwasher. Part ordered console assembly. I ordered it at night arrived the next morning. Replacement fairly easy up and running. thank you 

The console assembly has a membrane like switch panel running it's entire length. I shut off power at the circuit breaker. I simply removed the old console assembly and put in the new console assembly. This required the removal of a circuit board and some indicator lights that had to be moved from the old console to the new console. The door latch also had to move. I buttoned it back up. turned on the power at the circuit breaker and then tested the power switch. Everything worked and the dishes came out spotless. 

Did some research on the web and determined that the membrane was bad, Ordered a replacement normal shipping, I must have lucked out to be near a distribution site because I received the part the next day. (Fast) Probably the most difficult part was finding the right Torx bit for my screw driver, also remember to shut the power off, the door latch has 120 vac on the micro switches and pretty easy to touch exposed conductors, (ouch).

Replaced the control panel assembly as seen in an online video 

Installed a new Console Assembly and it now works like new. 

I replaced the console assembly on the top of the door. Works like a charm with the new panel installed. 

We ordered and replaced the Console Assembly.
