How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6886161 / 5304518661 Oven Control Board

I replaced the Oven Control Board and the overlay. The Appliance Part Pro, repair video was east to follow and made the job easy. 

It was an extremely easy fix. I just removed the back panel of my stove, removed the broken control panel, and reinstalled the new. It took less than ten minutes to do the entire job. 

I first replaced the starter it did not solve problem, checking farther I found when bake were selected I here the click from the clock area up top but at the starter connection no 120v were getting to the starter. I replaced the control board it did solve my issue. Thank you as the Lady were beginning to make noise about her oven. 

Unplugged stove. Removed six 1/4 inch socket head screws from back panel. Removed back panel. Removed plug on the back of the OCB. Removed OCB. Used Philips screwdriver to remove four mounting screws (and cracked pieces of the mounting holes). If you can get to this point, installing the new OCB is pretty self explanatory. 

I ordered a new control board and overlay (separate item) from AppliancePartsPros and replaced it just as the video shows. It was easy and saved me about $200 compared with the quote I got from a "technician": 1) Stick the overlay onto the front of the new control board. 2) Unplug the range's electrical cord from the wall. 3) Use a 1/4-inch nut driver to remove the back panel (a few screws). 4) Unplug the wire bundle from the old control board. 5) Use a Philips screw driver to remove the old control board (four screws). 6) Install the new control board. 7) Plug the wire bundle into the new control board. 8) Replace the back panel. 9) Plug it into the wall. It works! 

Looked up the part online, found your website. Watched the video. The fix looked very easy so I purchased the parts. The parts came in a very timely manner. The video on your website was perfect. Replacing the part couldn't have been any easier!!! Thank you very much!!!

I took off the back cover of the range. I then took out the bolts which had held the control board in. I placed the control overlay on the new control board, and then plugged it in. I bolted the control board in place and replaced the back cover. For $135 in parts and 15 minutes of labor, I did what the appliance repair company wanted to charge me $500 for. 

Replaced control board. 

Removed old control ,within 20 minutes had new control and overlay attached and was completely done an fixed in that 20 or so minutes. part was ordered and received in a real quick time. would use your service again at any time.
