How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP6333303 / 297235200 Electronic Control

Replaced control module on front of unit 

Replaced Control Electronic Assembly. Nothing to it. Inoperative one popped out with some careful prying around the edges, new one popped right in. I did have to take it back out briefly because the circuit board had come off the anchor pins (I guess I was the cause), which made some of the pushbuttons not work, but snapping it back onto the pins solved that issue. It took about 20 minutes, I could do it again in about 2 minutes. 

Popped it out. Popped it in. All finished. Very fast delivery, and less expensive that repair quote. I'm kicking myself for calling the repair company as their diagnosis was same as mine. Doh! 

Read through posts on miscellaneous chat sites and narrowed it down to the front panel/touch pad. Then found AppliancePartsPros.com. Posts on your site helped me confirm that the part needed to be replaced and the fix would be an easy one. Part number 297366300 LOOKED like the one to order but the Appliance Compatibility Tool (brilliant!) told me it wouldn't work with my model. Clicked on "Chat with a Pro" and learned that Part number 297366309 was the one to buy. Bought it, found a youtube video on how to install it (not exactly the same front panel but close enough) and had it working in less than ten minutes. Most of that time was spent carefully prying off the defective panel without scratching the door. All I needed in the way of "tools": two putty knives (to pull the old panel off) and some blue tape to protect the finish from scratches. 

Replaced electrical control board. 

White freezer replaced Controller Tsd. Plugged freezer Up Compressor started freezing like a new one. Black freezer replaced Control-Electronic,assy on outside of door. Plugged freezer up compressor came on working like a new one. Be careful removing Control Board. I used a plastic egg spatula to remove board so I wouldn't scratch the door paint. Look at your new part the way it attaches to door.Pry on each end little little till it comes off. 

Replaced the front panel. It was a $100 fix. Also the front panel come's as an assy and just snaps in nicely. 

Replaced the control panel and thermistor just to be safe. All is working like it used to and temp was at -18 after a day. Unfortunately, you cannot remove the old panel without wrecking it. But it was done for anyways. 

The control Board Defrost timing mechanisms was faulty and caused the freezer not to kick out of defrost mode and the heaters ran until the thermostat circuit was shut off.. But since it never kicked out of defrost the compressor and everything never kicked back on. 

I replaced the control module. Over a long period of time it had exhibited some of the symptoms other had described. Mainly not maintaining temperature, below freezing but not zero. Also the light would cycle on and off when the door was opened. The debug aids on your website pointed to the control module. It was on backorder, when I placed my order. Upon arrival it took less than 5 minutes to install and confirm that our freezer was fully operational.
