How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3954121 / 241678703 Dispenser Frame

I removed the old dispenser cover/plastic frame (bottom portion broken off/separated and held in with three rusted screws) - disconnected the ribbon from the circuit board. Installed the new ribbon cable in the circuit board located behind the dispenser cover. Removed the backing from the new "Frigidaire Gallery Series" label and attached the label to the front of the dispenser cover and reinstalled on the refrigerator door with three new screws. All of the parts were received within two days using the basic shipping option and everything matched the original parts and worked great - first time ordering from you and won't hesitate to do so again when the need arises. Unscrewed electrical board and installed on new cover, clipped back on refrigerator door, added label. Easy/Peezy Was a little disappointed that the color was not correct, original was silver and matched door, replacement was gray but blended "ok" so wife decided to keep. 

Removed broken cover's 3 holding screws, removed damaged ribbon cable harness. Replaced with new items. Had to heat broken cover with hair dryer to loosen the cover's fascia from broken door. Total time 20 minutes. Thank you. 

I ordered a new Dispenser Frame. Fixed. No problem. 

Ordering a new one with the dispenser frame, which was also broken. 

I purchased a new ice lever part but when I took things apart, the entire housing for the ice and water system as it was also broken. I received the parts and transferred many parts from the old housing to the new. After putting everything back together, it all worked great. I would describe this repair as relatively technical and moderately difficult. 

I was able to replace the face of the water and ice dispenser and cleaned up and painted the rust. It looks almost as good as new. Definitely better. I also replaced the gasket. This fridge will be good for another 10 years :) 

I removed the old panel and installed the new one. 

Replaced broken part with new part. It took around 10 minutes. Easy fix but it helps to have a second helper.
