How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4416812 / 316135401 Element

I open the top and discover one of the connections was burned off the element. I tried to solder the end to no avail. I found the element at ApplianceParts Pro ordered it Tuesday afternoon and received it the next morning with the discount shipping. My daughter helped hold the top in place and the repair took about 15 minutes . TIP-, take a photo of the wiring for reference and only remove/replace one wire at a time to avoid crossing wires. 

Remove old element and install new one 

Replaced element. 

I replaced the burner element. 

I replaced the two bad elements with new ones. Use a set of work gloves, remember to disconnect the power from the stove, then use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the screw from underneath the front of the stove. Pull the top from the stove. Remove the elements and replace them. 

I replaced the eye. 

I ordered a new heating element, and a new switch. I got it within two days and replaced both right away. Wow what a difference. 

Replaced burner but screws were the wrong size. 

Looked up model and found the part with AppliancePartsPros to be the best price and I saw there delivery process by words was good. Well it's true they delivered and within 2 days!! Remember to unplug to turn the breaker off before working on the unit. The part was exact easy to replace stove is working great! Thank you, Jerry 

Watched a YouTube video on the process. Removed power from my oven and finished this in under 15 minutes. Easy peasy. Be sure to take pictures of the wiring arrangement and then document, with a written diagram, which wires go where before you remove the old burner. Also be sure to note the position of the burner in the retaining bracket.
