How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP4365654 / 316225001 Oven Baking Element

When the element broke I didn't know what to do. Did I need a new stove? Did I need to call the repair man? With a little internet research and talking to some friends, I figured out I should be able to do it myself. I found the part by just typing in the stove model number on this website. After it arrived in less than a week, I watched the video on this website and then fixed it in about 10 minutes. 

Replacement 

Took back of stove off, old part off, new part in its place. Easy repair! 

Replaced 

All we had to do was pluck out the old heating element and hook up the new one! Our order came in crazy quick and I made 2 batches of brownies to celebrate!!! 

First things first. Don,t forget to turn off the breaker. I did. Removed old element. Called Appliance Parts. He told me what I needed. Ordered it. Got it delivered. Fixed in 5 minutes. DON"T FORGET TO TURN OFF THE POWER!!! 

Pulled stove away from wall, unplugged stove. Removed oven racks. Unscrewed element bracket from back wall and then unplugged element from wired connection. Reversed process with new element. The part arrived they day after it was ordered. We were thrilled that the repair was so easy and saved hundreds of $ as opposed to buying a new stove. 

I ordered the replacement element. It took only 3 days from order to my door step. I watched the the process of replacing the new one on You Tube. Relatively easy. I would add to the list of tools a flashlight and a small socket wrench. 

Replaced bake element and replaced one wire to element, 

As before I immediately went to appliance parts pro web site and found the part I needed. But just in case I also called to make sure I was getting the right part for my particular oven/range. And thank goodness I did call because I would have gotten the wrong part. The correct part was ordered and was here within 3 days. My husband followed the easy directions and my oven was back to working in no time...Thanks again AppliancePartsPros.
