How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP3768579 / 318255401 Element

Ordered a new heating element and replaced the failed part. 

Bought a new element from AppliancePartsPros.com and replaced it. The part was priced well and came quickly. 

I watched a YouTube video on how to fix it. I ordered the part, then successfully replaced the heating element in my oven.

I ordered the replacement part and had it delivered within two days. Simply unscrewed the old heating element and reconnected the new. I was back in business in just a few minutes. Removed old one and replaced with new element.

This is one of those morale building repair jobs. Hugely important thing to fix, but simple to do. Unscrewed the plate on the broken element with a philips screwdriver and gently pulled the base out of the hole. Pushed away the insulation and pulled the element a bit to expose the wires' terminals. Gently wiggled the wire terminals off the broken element, being careful to not lose wires down the hole. Gently wiggled the wire terminals onto the new element. Slid the wires/element back into place. Put screws into new plate. Test ran oven, worked fine. Smokey at first, then it was fine.
