How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP5630821 / 318601604 Bake Element

Ordered a new element hooked it up had the wires crossed blew the connectors. Put new connectors on make sure I put them on the right way and it works beautifully. 

I ordered from the# on the oven. Three weeks went by, tried to call, and got a machine. So I called appliance parts pros and had parts in two days/ 

Ordered a new part and installed it. This is our second one so we had some knowledge as to how to fix it. This took about 30 to 40 minutes from beginning to end. Glad to know parts are available as so much is old before you even get to use it. The element is located at the bottom of our wall unit, so we had to slide it out part way to get to the problem. We are hoping this one last longer than the other two we have used (the one that came with the unit and then the replacement) as this is supposed to be improved. 

Purchased lower heating element at a good price at appliance parts pros. Used guidance from a previous user with the same problem. Great result with minimal issues. Just took some time and heavy lifting. Not as strong as I was when I installed the double oven. When you remove the brackets and screws to separate the double ovens to get access to the trap door on the upper oven, it helps to create a general diagram to facilitate their replacement. Took about 3 hours. 

After service technician didn’t want to tackle it, I decided to do it myself.
