How to Troubleshoot & Replace Frigidaire AP2126395 / 316203200 Oven Broil Element

Replaced it. if you know how a screwdriver works, you can probably save around $300. Or $1200, if you bought a new oven. While I was at it, I went ahead and bought the oven heating element - just in case. 

Easy to look up correct part and watch simple and informative video on how to properly replace the part. 

I ordered a part from AppliancePartsPros.com. The element arrived in a timely manner and installed by my son-in-law and works great. I would recommend this company because - prices are good on parts, easy to order online, order arrived ontime and in good condition. 

I found the part on AppliancePartsPros.com, watched the SUPER HELPFUL how-to video that was embedded on the parts page, and was able to replace the part myself! We have a home warranty company that likes to charge $60 for a tech to (eventually) come out, "assess" the problem, and then state the repair isn't covered, so I just circumvented that part and took care of it. 

Turned off the circuit breaker, and took out 4 screws holding the element in place. Carefully pulled the element out so as not to lose the wires inside the oven wall. Pulled the wires off the element. Put the wires on the new element, inserted wires and element back into place, and replaced the 4 screws 2 for element 2 for the holders that help hold the element in place. 

Removed the old elements and plugged in the new ones and the stove was good to go! 

Ordered the part from Appliance Parts Pros and had the replacement in less than 48 hours. This is the 2nd time I have ordered a part from them. Previously a few years ago the bake element. Ordering is so easy and there is even a double check where you put your model # in to make sure the part is compatible. Had the new part within 48 hours! Husband did the repair after watching the video. Our only issue was we could not get the oven door off. We did manage to get it off the previous repair but were unable to this time. Took a little longer because of not as easily accessible with the door on, but all in all, repair was done within a half hour. Can not thank AppliancePartsPros.com enough for the excellent service from ordering to the video! 

Followed the video instructions!! Unfortunately, when I removed the connector that fits onto the element, it pulled back behind the firewall. I had to remove the back panel to poke it back through the hole. That connector is kinda deformed. So I will need to cut it off and replace it at some point soon. Otherwise, this was an easy fix. 

Installed new element. 

Ordered a Broiler coil online, it showed up the next day (SUNDAY) by Fed Ex and was installed by my husband on Monday. Worked fine! The Cerama Bryte stovetop cleaner, as suggested by the order taker; I also ordered works great !!!. I am a satisfied customer and will be ordering again if necessary to keep my appliances working.
